The leader of the Georgian people, Mikheil Saakashvili, who was imprisoned by Ivanishvili\u2019s dictatorship on fabricated charges, called for strengthening protests against stolen elections to gain support from Washington, as it was during his presidency in Georgia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The third president of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, noted on his Facebook page that protests must scale up if Georgians truly want support from the West.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIf we want support from the West, as well as from the new U.S. cabinet, we need to increase the scale of street actions. Small actions are welcomed and deserve praise, but let\u2019s not focus on just one big action,\u201d said the politician.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As is known, following the parliamentary elections, where \u201cGeorgian Dream,\u201d the party of pro-Russian oligarch Bidzina Ivanishvili, claimed victory, protests against election fraud have regularly taken place in Tbilisi. The opposition and the President of Georgia, Salome Zourabichvili, do not recognize the election results and are calling for daily protests to overturn the outcomes. November 21 will be a critical date for them, when the Central Election Commission (CEC) will publish the final protocol of the election results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Saakashvili also supported a women\u2019s protest in front of the CEC in Georgia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMy enormous gratitude and united solidarity go to the heroic women who showed great courage and dedication at the election commission yesterday. I was also deeply impressed by their logic, arguments, and vision,\u201d noted the former president.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On November 13, a women\u2019s protest took place near the CEC building in Georgia. The protesters are opposing the parliamentary election results, where \u201cGeorgian Dream\u201d emerged victorious. The women banged stones against the fence and tried to break into the Central Election Commission's grounds. They held sheets of paper with a black circle drawn on them, symbolizing a mark allegedly showing whom the voter supported, which was reportedly visible on the back of the ballot paper. The opposition believes this to be a violation of the voting process. In response to this complaint, authorities conducted an experiment and concluded that it could not have led to widespread violations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
